Hi

I need an amp for 2 rockford HE 10's 4ohm svc 200 rms each. I was looking at the JBL amps and first of i've heard there somewhat underated can anyone tell me if this is true. Now would i be better with the 600.1 or 300.1? I thought that i would be better with the 600.1 so that i'm not pushing the amp to its maximum power , which seem what i would do have to do with the 300.1. I was planning to wire this in parellel down to 2 ohm if this would not work please tell me.

with the 600.1 at 2ohms you would be sending a little more than 300rms per sub, and since they are 200 I don´t know if your subs can work correctly.. I don´t know if RF subs are underrated... you can try a profile california 800sx 200x1 at 4ohms that would be the perfect Rms to your subs...it´s like 115 at ikesound.com, if you have the money for the Jbl then you migth also try anything from USacoustics at thezeb.com people around here says that´s those are really nice amps for the price....

my questions is if i get an amp that puts out lets say 400 @ 2ohm that would be exactly 200 for each of my subs if i wire them parelle right. Now would it be better to have a litlle more power and turn the gain down than have it all the way up?

first of all it would be 200/sub.......now there is no reason to have the gain turned all the way up....its used to match the signal volatge from the amp to the h/u......as long as your gain is set properly u shouldnt have any problem

any other suggestions on amps for 400 rms total. the profile sounds good but i just read they aren't very efficenent. i heard they **** a lot of power to put out what they say and would like to get around that if i could.

i would just say get the jbl 600 turn the gains down then if u want to upgrade that will put out about 325 to each sub which will give you a wide choice of subs you can get

US Acoustics for the bass is a good choice, however I had alot of problems with there USX-2080 (noise). My USX-800D's I am happy with though.

Good luck
