How can an amp be rated the same rms at 1 ohm and 2 ohm?? I don't see how that's possible..

I assume you mean the BP1200.1? The BP can handle 1ohm but they didn't rate it for that. Just like my GTO60.1 Not rated for 1ohm but handles it like champ

i think he means the gto1200.1? either way yeah they handle 1ohm like a champ and never get hot

Well the GTO1201.1 is the BP's board IIRC

he means the bp, and they do well at 1 or 2 ohms, they don't have the same board

to clerify, i'm talkin about the bp. So it's rated 1200wrms at 2ohm but hadles 1ohm at 1200w also??

most likely no, but you'll have to try it and find out, mine would go into protect at .9 at high volumes

yea some bp's are different than others- mine goes down to one ok, but my friends will shut off i think its just random

amps can be rated at the sma power at different loads because they have limiting circuitry in them cas in point...

the phoenix gold xeno series they have the same ratting at 1,2,3. or 4 ohm loads

its all in the design of the amp
