JBL 1200.1 vs JL audio 500/1?

I have heard the JL amp and liked it a lot, but what about the JBL 1200.1? Is it as good as the JL? Seems pretty expensive to me for 500W but everyone says it is underrated. I see you can buy the JBL for under 300 online and I don't think you can get that kinda price for the JL. Is it worth the extra bucks?

I would be using the amp for 2 12'' type R's in a sealed box.

sq and features to mold the sound would go to the jl volume at hi peaks the jbl would win and the jbl doesnt sound bad at all
