JBL 1200.1 or cadence 1600watt and what to push

my friend is selling his old setup and getting new equipment. we are both throwing around ideas so we decided to post here.

a guy on hardforums is selling a cadence 1600watt amp @1ohm for 325 and theres also the idea of a JBL 1200.1 with 1200RMS @2ohms. depending on how many and what type speakers i get will mainly determine which amp i will need due to being stable at certain impedence.

were thinking 4 DVC subs wired at 8ohms each for a 2ohm load overall or 4 SVC subs for 1ohm load. or simply 2 DVC subs each wired at 2ohms for a 1ohm load. we are havign trouble deciding on whether we want the amp or subs our priority with all the combinations we have laying around

which amp would u guys choose? i guess that would split our ideas to half and go form there

heh, im thinking 2 audiobahn flame q's *1100watts RMS* subs to go with cadence amp. or 2 SVC subs to go with jbl, like elemental designs A series 12s. the edesign can only be ordered from factory so they are 300 a peice *ouch* while i can get the flame q's for 150 each from 3rd party dealers like ikesound

im leaning towards abahn, as much of a grudge as other boards hold against them i think its a good bang for the buck. my friend currently has 2 performanc eteknique 12s that i found for 70 bucks each and they WHAM!! the audiobahns are bound to sound way better also so i dont think he'll be unimpressed

tha audiobahns will sound like poopoo in my opinion. ud be soo much happier with the A's.

ok the A's if they were sold 3rd party they would be selling for like 400+. the flame q's will get loud but will sound like total ***. cuz i'm guessing u don't know how to do a good install. we can help u with that. but the A's will beat the abahns out. maybe not in overall spl, but in sql.
