Jasper jig with 1/4" straight bit (but 1/2" bit)

the bit is 1/4" bigger, so you subtract 1/4" from the jig measurement because it eats up 1/4" more wood than the jig is calculated to
it says it right on the ****ing jig instructions

in short: 9.25" hole, put the pin in the 9" jig part
No, I have a bit that has a 1/2" shank, but it's a 1/4" straight bit.

I think they are right it's the same thing. If the bit were a 1/2" straight

bit, the instruction would apply. I think, fuck I don't know.

Thanks man.

Hope to keep all my fingers intact for the duration.

Didnt read but if you just subtract 1/4 from what you need because you now have that much more cutting area.

We did this with my router on your box at the build day.

Good to see you got the tools, pm me if you have any router questions

Don't add or subtract anything with that bit. It's the size that the jig was calibrated for. The cutter diameter is what matters, not the shaft.

If you plan on doing a lot of circle cutting, I would get a 1/4" collet for your router and get a 1/4" spiral up-cut bit. It cuts a lot smoother and lasts MUCH longer.
