Jasper jig with 1/4" straight bit (but 1/2" bit)

I got a stupid question, can use the 1/4" straight bit from the 1/2" bit set

with the Jasper jig I purchased? I hop this makes sense, this is a 1/2"

bit set (1/2" connection) with a 1/4" straight bit in it, can I use that with

the jasper jig? Or does it need to be a 1/4" straight bit from a 1/4" set.

I think it will work, but I better ask.

And I picked up this 6.0A 14gal rigid shop vac for $40

yeah you just have to measure off 1/4 since they require 1/4 and your using 1/2 bit

a 1/4" straight cut with 1/2" shank cuts the exact same hole as the 1/4" straight cut with 1/4" shank....you don't need to make any adjustments

i was about to say that, the 1/4" bit would be in the same spot with either shank, dont make adjustments.

The cutting part is all you care about, not the shaft.

the bit is 1/4" bigger, so you subtract 1/4" from the jig measurement because it eats up 1/4" more wood than the jig is calculated to

it says it right on the ****ing jig instructions

in short: 9.25" hole, put the pin in the 9" jig part
