I know of three people that car that car jacked. Two of which worked with me at my work.
The first one was our repair guy. He had a 1988 cavilier (sp???) convertible. He was fixing it up and it had a new steering wheel and rims. It was stolen from his drive way. The cops found it a week later, the rims and the steering wheel was taken off and they had the thing sitting on the ground with no wheels. The tow truck that picked it up destroyed the bottom by dragging it onto the bed. Since it was worthless now and cost too much to fix, he had to junk it (no theft insurance).
The second one cashier and had a 1994 plymouth seabreeze (no mods, bone stock). They stole it from the parking lot of her apartment. They found it a couple weeks later abandoned. Apparently the stole it and took it for a joy ride. The problem was the they crashed it so the front axel was broken and bent and and the front end was mangled. They took the radio (stock) and the airbag. I think she still has it in storage and is still waiting for the insurance claim to come in.
The third was where I work, I saw a late 2000 Cadillac Deville. It was really nice looking and parked in the corner of the lot. I noticed it didn't have any plates on it or registration stickers. It sat in the corner for like 3 weeks and and I got suspicious. Also the cadillac rim caps where missing on all four tires. I saw a cop shopping at my store so I told him about the car, he decides to check it out and he notices the door was open. The radio and steering wheel was broke. He found the VIN number and it turned out to be reported stolen. He called a tow truck and picked it up. The owner of the car came into the store and thanked me for reporting it to cops. He was a real nice guy, he offered me 50 bucks for finding his car but I said for him to keep it.
Well those are my stories. Sorry for the endless post but I figured you would like to know.

An alarm is the best way to go. Developing a reputation for being very violent is another good way to protect your car, but I'd stick to the alarm thing.
i know u guys have seen em too, 20 seconds with a saw and the club is useless.....i say get a nice alarm and some big *** dogs, i got 2 english mastiffs, they weigh in at about 200 a piece, both female, my male weighed about 250 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif they're monstrous...but they're gentle giants, u could get rotweilers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

my mom got her sebring jacked,
poilice found it 3hours later :hilarious lol who steals a car drives it and then is caught wit in 3 hours...
and the only reason it took 3 hours was because my mom wasnt sure if it was stolen or if my brother went on a joy ride
