I got a new toy in my mustang so I figured id post pics. we all like pics, right? Its a Pioneer Avic-Z1 in my mustang. Got it for an insane deal so I scooped it up.

Still has the factory Mach460 system. Some of you may recal the car computer I was gonna do with this car. I scrapped the idea after I had almost everything ready to go. Just didnt feel like doing the work to get it right. I really dont care for audio in this car, its more for the speed. Its a bolt on car that runs low 13s with no traction.

I got a decent setup in my 93 olds cutlass vert too, which is my beater. Alpine 9851 deck, pheonix gold xenon fronts, infinity kappa rears, xtant 121m amp, ma audio xe 12 in 3.4 cubes@33hz before displacment. Same box i used to compete with my RE XXX 12 and RE LE 35.1. no pics of that... its nothing special.

Hmm found my story too.

Well my Pioneer AVIC-Z1 is hooked up for the most part. I really hate doing that wiring shit, especially into the PCM. You are supposed to hook up a VVS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) so your GPS is accurate. That took me about an hour to pull the panels to access the PCM (2mins) undo some bolts that hold 3 other harnesses (2mins) then unbolt the PCM bolt so you have access to the wiring (82975987982 hours) and find the wire you need in that rats nest they call a harness (983724984327 days).
I mounted my GPS reciever at the bottom of my A-Pillar so I dont really have to see it, yet its in the open for the best signal possible. The wiring is kind of a PITA and I remember how fustrating the Mach460 is to work around again. Ill need two sets of single female to double male RCA plugs so my mach460 opperates correctly. Without those RCAs, I can only run front mids or rear mids and it sounds like *** right now.

I also dont have a dash kit for a DD screen so ill have to grab one of those tomarrow. Other than that, the entire car is ripped apart on the inside.

I just browsed through the top posters and only see about 6 of the names I even remember. I remember when DBFan was a newbie and we used to make fun of him for posting 0498332094 times a day. 25,000 posts later...

I remember when this place wasnt even moderated, and we had to bust *** on the admin to even get mods here. i was elected as one of the mods and we still had hardly any privelidges. Dunno how it is now... I left many many moons ago. Still good to see some old names though. I bet no one remembers the "review committee" that we had where we got free shit to test and write about. That was with rangerman and a few others. My first assignment was Second Skin DampX. This was JUST as Second Skin just started up and we had the vote here to determine the name of ANTs sound deadner. I then recieved STFU-80. How many of you remember that? lol
