The Type R's i have are really loud, but they cant handle the 1200-1500rms the nine.1 can put out. So im thinking I need a sub upgrade. I was looking at the TC3000, RL-P, SI-MAG. Cant seem to choose. Any other choices or would you pick one of these. Two subs for two Nine.1's.

NINe.1's are NOT doing 1500w RMS.
1200@ 15v with a 0.9ohm load...not 1ohm nominal

and that is a maybe

dont listen to ben's hype.
have you tested them or something? have you ever owned one? because if not .. i dont care about what you just said .. lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Have you tested one? have you seen test results from an unbiased party?

I have bought one for an installation in a friends vehicle.

1500w my ***. Was no louder than a JL 1000/1 and was slightly more distorted.

O-Scope...

But, i said the SOUNDED slightly more distorted. Same set up, same head unit setings, just swapped in the 1000/1 for the NINe.1

They arent bad amps, but as all things Ben, extremely hyp.eD

Neways .. back to my original question .. What subs should i upgrade too?
A pair of mags would be lovely and a step up no matter what the wattage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

pushing it on power with the Rl-P's as the TC 3000's

I have owned a 9.1 running 2 RE SE 12's at 1 ohm, highest number ever reached on the TL with this setup was 146.7. never tested the amp to see what power I was getting. but it never got hot or went into protect as long as I had mine. worked flawlessly

what?

are you saying the tc 3000's wont handle the power?

or that its not enough?

because i had my 3hp running on a orion 2500d @ 1 ohm for like 4 months, perfectly.
Whoops, i was thinking TC 2000's where 1kw RMS is pushing it.

Rl-p's can handle ~1kw thermally but unless you like dancing on the backplate they dont need it mechanically in most serups.

The mags would be a better choice than the Rl-P drivers if you have the money for them. But if you can't afford the mags then the Rl-p drivers would be the way to go. And the I know the mags can handle the nine.1's no problem even if they were putting out close to 1500rms at 1 ohm.
