i agree a 10 or a couple of 8s will work great for your enjoyment on about 500-700w would sound pretty good

well i got some 10s for sale if ur intersted 2 10'' kickers brand new in the box and some almost new rockford p2 subs

6.5" components up front (or biggest that will fit), maybe lose the back speakers all together

h.u (id recomend eclipse or alpine)

single 12" sub (sealed idq?)

maybe a 3 channel amp for it all

Here is a direct question that should be easy. what are a few brands you can't go wrong with? I'm willing to go around looking but I come from a super rural area and we don't have any super stores like circuit city.

I think I want two speakers, a sub, an amp, and a head unit. In the back I'm willing to give up 1.5 cubic feet. I can do more if really necessary though.

you're going to get a huge mix of oppinions on brands but here's my two cents. I like Alpine everything subs, comps, amps HU everything but again everyone has their own oppinions. also pioneer, eclipse, us amps , re are some other good brands

I've heard around the alpine is is the brand to get.

for music I like classic rock, classical, and reggae.the most can do is just go around and google " 6 inch speakers."

I'm going to go listen in the local shop again tomorrow but everything is so much mre money there. What are some nice speakers, and woofers to lookout for.

amps I'm completely clueless, I think I can choose a head unit. they're mostly just about interface, right?

Have to buy a add on accessory. It varies between brands but its usually just one cord from the deck, or its a add on box that you have to wire with power that you connect the ipod to.

I went into the audio shop and got salesmaned to death. Everything sounded beautiful but...you know. chuk-ching!
Here's what I say I want.

Super audio to be heard INSIDE (very important) the car. I don't wanna be bangin wagon you can hear commin 7 blocks away. I also don't want to fill up the car. I like my space. I think he said I want a 10" woofer. more punch and less after-orgasm sensations.

I wanna be able to control the ipod. He showed me some delicious little stereo where the ipod can sit int he glove box and everything is controlled from he stereo.

So....yea. He said I want to 6" an amp stereo and sub. Then he added in labor and it pretty much doubled. I think I can figure it out, im good with electronics, but I've never done any in car thing.

another thing, this isn't to be blasted, I repect my ears. I just want to hear awesome music.

I have a 2002 subaru wrx wagon.

now go do my work for me, smart ones! hopefully I learn a thing or two.
