Ive about had it with CA.

Vent : Seems like since my last install ive had nothing but issues with the amp ive got (alpine M1000) I installed it with a new set of subs, everything wired up fine to a 2 ohm load, and the amp blew the first time about 4 weeks ago. So i send it in, get a replacement about 2 weeks ago, and today im at the gas station, pulled up playing some rock, not even loud at all, barely audible infact. I turn the car off, get gas, crank it back up and as soon as i hit the ign to crank the subs went "boomp" and when the radio came on they didnt do shit. Ive got 14.6v to the amp with the car and radio on, 4v from my hu signal at norm listening volume, 12.8 from my rem, and the subs still read 1.9 ohms as they did originally, and dont rub or feel weird. Amp chassis is not grounded but the actual 12v ground is straight to the frame, big 3 done, 2 80a alts. 3 batts. Shit like this makes me want to throw in the towel and just say **** the sub stage all together, since thats the only thing that gives me problems. What the hell can i do with another blown M1000? Im pretty sure its not covered by warranty now because when i recieved it both the speaker terminals were stripped out and i drilled and retapped them for a bigger set screw, so im ****ed i guess? Pretty pissed because i had a local guy about to come look at it for 200, then i was gonna pick up an ap3500 in its place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

poor guy. I'm running my little fusion at 1ohm and u can't even get your alpine to run at 2ohm. sure u not doing something wrong???

If i am i honestly have no idea what im doing wrong, i have absolutely 0 problems with my other equipment thats been in there for 2+ years, only problems ive had as far as sub stages go is with this alpine amp. I havent even played it full tilt or low volted it gotten it hot or anything, it just bumped and shut off when i was cranking my car.

I took the time to completely remove the gas tank, go under the car and run grounds from the trunk pan to the actual frame, then in the front i have grounds from frame - chassis, frame - batt, and batt-chassis on both batts. The batt in the trunk is practically grounded straight to the frame. I had no voltage issues whatsoever with this setup it just decided to fail me at the most random moment. I do plan on redoing my trunk grounds though and running 1/0 from the trunk batt to the frame, rather than to the chassis, then to the frame. This will all be done before the new amp goes in.

You seem like a budget ghetto enthusiast, its probly your wiring, post pics

You seem like a good person to tell me i dont know how to install shit correctly.

Heres the amp installed, before i added the trunk batt. The red bolt on the right side of the amp on the chassis has 2 1ft runs of stinger 1/0 coming off it going to the frame under the car. Thats where the extra batt is grounded now also.

I dont bullshit on wiring, everything is done correctly with ring terminals or soldered, shrinkwrapped or loomed when needed, proper fusing, Signal and power routed on opposite sides, etc. Everything in my car has a good connection and my voltage doesnt drop below 14v at any time.

Edit - another pic. Pulled a frame from a vid when i was playing gucci mane - 20gs at near full volume
