Resonating Reticular
I posted this over at NN, but I figured it's time to bring it over to CA.com, see if any of you guys want to post your doodles.
DISCLAIMER: I've never been the best artist, but I can hold my own on some things.
These were drawn in my first semester of College, and sometimes in between classes, or when I'm just waiting for class to start, I doodled in the margins. Most of the time, it's nonsense. But, here are a few I kind of liked...
That's not really a doodle, but I did it in between classes. So it's still good.
I like the 3D-ish effect I got from this. This was done a while ago, so the shading faded and smudged... it looked a lot better when I first did it. Hah. I'm in MAC1105, so we're basically covering Algebra 1 & 2 things, so I tend to doze off a lot in that class.
Now for a little more serious ones...
This is one I did for a stencil. R.T.C. designs. I spray paint this stencil on boxes I build.
The finished Spray-Painted result:
My X-acto knife was getting dull, so the stencil didn't come out too well. But... It gets the job done.
And here's something I threw together right before class. This girl saw some of my doodles and thought I was a good artist...
So she asked me to draw her a tribal tattoo. The sides aren't too good, but I like the sun.
This one started off as grafitti... then I turned it into an ear, then a face, then into someone trying to roll over the face, then into the face spilling out, into someone hanging and letters falling out of his head.
Look close at the letter towards the bottom.
I'm going to re-draw it, and eventually I want to paint it. I was even thinking about getting it tattooed on me somewhere.
Critisism, advice, anything?
Oh, and post some doodles you've done.
And sorry about the quality... my scanner's dead and my camera's AWOL.
