ITT Tech

DO NOT GO TO ITT TECH.I wasted 2 years and $33k at that shit hole.

I went there back when they had "guaranteed job placement" and "transferable credits".

Notice how they no longer promise the job placement, and "Some credits may not be transferable" has become "Credits earned are unlikely to transfer"? That's due to the multitude of law suits for all the non-sensical bullshit they were promising back in 2002 when I took the plunge. I have an AAS in Computer Network Systems from ITT, and I lost out on many a job due to people who were "more qualified", as in they has less experience but they had the same degree from a better school. I lost out on a job to a Remington graduate, simply because of where he got his degree. The same employer that passed me up for that guy even told me it was because of where I got my degree from. He told me that if I wanted to ever be taken seriously, that I needed to go elsewhere and get a new degree. I called lots of schools and 13% of my credits were transferable, at best. And very few of their campuses have a BA program, so don't let them tell you that you can get your BA at any time. Make sure that the campus you're at has a BA program in house. They told me I could, but the nearest ITT with a BA program was 2 states away... They didn't mention that. And 90% of the jobs on the job board had NOTHING to do with any of the fields that taught. Most of them where warehouse work and shit.
thanks man, that was what I was lookin for.

yep the same bullshit has happened to me also. There programs are not as accredited as they say they are. If you go there and ever want to get your BA be prepared to start your whole college education over cause your credits won't transfer

education is what you make of it, i too like these two people failed at ITT or the school i went to devry, BUT i know people that went to school with me had there ccna and some did not have their ccna working for ARGON LABS, education is what you make of it man, i went to devry spent 30 grand now the good school im at will total me 90k in dept because of devry, i didnt try hard at devry, perhaps because i just found out i have add, who knows. The guy i know at devry is still going there, and working at a data center making bank without a degree, also an older individual graduated from devry now working at a hospital and could buy anything he wants, you just gotta try

cliffs, devry fcuked my life, because i didnt try

go to itt(devry instead) and bust your *** and master it and i mean master it) and your fine and take the risk of still failing

or go to a good school and still fail

when i was at devry before the economy started to crumble i landed two big job interviews, but failed terribly at the interviews and blew those chances //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I went for a semester and part of another and left. I must say that the one I went to the teachers were really helpful and actually had a lot of experience in the fields they taught not just a degree. I think it depends on which ITT you go to because they're not all the same. The one I went to all you had to do was go to their career service department and they would help you find a job, key word being HELP. If you go there and expect stuff to just be handed to you then of course you're not going to get anything out of it. I think you should go to the ITT and talk to them and tell them what you're looking for in a school and bring up the issues that people on here have stated and if they can't answer your questions then look elsewhere.

Oh yea and the biggest advantage of going to ITT is networking and meeting contacts. Because a lot of people that attended the ITT I went were already in the fields they were taking classes for and were just looking to get a degree and more knowledge. And most of my teachers were still in the fields they taught so it's really easy to make some contacts and get your name known. Because a lot of times it's not what you know it's who you know.
