Itsy bitsy teensie weensie sub needed.

I woudl reccomend the JL 6W0 it only requires like.15 or .2 cu ft. to function. It sounds pretty good for a 6in. but your not goign to get a ton of bass out of it. Requires little power and space seems like the perfect fit.

2 seater, right? how far can the passenger seat move back?

You could probably get some decent volume if you have the box slide up under the dash a bit on the passenger side (foot well).. You might end up with less leg room over there than you want, but you can cover the box and get a strong grille on it (and probably have a cloth on it if someone is riding over there to keep dirt out)..

That should be ok and let you have some kick.. You won't have a lot of passenger leg room, but if you don't carry passengers often or have really tall passengers (in a miata?) you should be ok..

Otherwise, yeah.. you are gonna have a hard time with a hidden woofer, probably won't be able to do it..

Good luck..

Originally posted by tex Sweet, you can also get one of those POS boxes they sale with the neon ring around it.
HaHaHa.... oops.. 'sceuse me' i used to have one of those roadgear 6'' 'sub' boxes, you know, the ones with the tweeters and ports and stuff... i thot i was tHE $.!T !!! lol

and a little 80 watt roadgear amp... havent sold it yet....(prolly not gunna..(hook it up in my room...))

Have you ever seen the Dr. Crankenstein subs they sold at Wal-Mart? LOL, I bet you wouldn't have to worry about clearance problems with their magnets. My first system, 11 years ago, was two "bass cannons" made by sparkomatic, I think. At the time, I thought they sounded good! Live and learn, live and learn.

No Crankensteins please. If it can't be done with a quality piece then it can't be done. I don't mind throwing some coin at it but it has to be great SQ or forget it.

PEACE
