Well handled, but misleading and pointless for the most part.. The only really valid point he had was the oil consumption, to that I fully agree I was grossly mistaken.. I should have looked it up before I stated it like that.. That was my bad.. But, like I noted, I glanced over the Saudi link about a month ago when LuRp offered 'proof' about things (which he really didn't offer any support to his arguments).. An excuse yes, not a good one.. I was simply in error. I will try to make sure it doesn't happen again ..

I'm growing tired of your pomposity - you have no more proof to back up your misleading and pointless rantings than anyone else. This is why I've stayed away from this thread, and the few others where the great and all powerful Savant have posted.
I've seen episodes of Jerry Springer with more tact and less arrogance than what I've been handed on this thread, and I'm supposed to just sit here and accept it? Anyone with a differing opinion, Savant jumps up with this keyboard commando slash Richard Simmons approach with the 'if you can't beat them, type them to death with responses that practically make you wish your eyeballs were sucked from their sockets and ran through a blender on 'icebreaker!'' Someone hand me a valium and a 12 pack of no-doz, I'm afraid my own system is going to go into shock from just trying to process the flowing amount of almost endless dribble that follows every thread that is started with a political agenda as the topic...

Course, if you would bother to read all the posts, you would notice that I don't expect anyone to 'follow' me or what I have to say.. I could care less if anyone agrees with what I have to say or not, I just ask that if you have a differeing opinion (and decide to voice it) that you provide some kind of reasoning for it.. granted, you don't have to, but that's how a 4 year old defends opinions "cause.. Heh.. well, I'm a computer programmer.. I type all day, this is nothing... it's easy and second nature.. and I've been on the internet for 11 years now.. I'm used to typing as talking.. sorry if reading and absorbing isn't your strong suit.. *shrug*
I can't help it that this medium requires tedious detail to avoid miscommunications.. Far too often people only type 1/3 of what they want to say, then get pissy that you 'made assumptions'.. I have no issues typing enough to try and ensure there is minimal room for confusion.. It's not my fault that the average person can't maintain the attention span required to read and comprehend more than a few words..
I'm not exactly sure why you think I'm touting so much arrogance. Perhaps it's just that I don't like leaving something 1/2 done.. when someone makes a statement (of any kind in response to something I post), I feel compelled to respond (not as in have to have the last word, but if someone leaves something unfinished, I'd rather provide a retorte to clarify or provide closure.. just like I'd prefer others do the same .. You clearly don't need the repitition and can comprehend what you read. However, the bulk of the people on this board (that keep trying to debate with me) can't seem to understand the ingredient list on a bottle of water.. They keep walking around responding to direct points with the BS they do, and I have a problem walking away knowing full well they just aren't understanding what I'm saying.. Though, to be honest, I've run into this many many times in 'real life' as well.. I'm presuming I have a problem expressing my ideas as so many people get a glazed look in their eyes while I'm explaining things.. As such, I've taken to saying the same thing in at least 3 different approaches to try and ensure they understand what I'm saying.. it normally works..
What bothers me is, people like LWW keep playing this banter game and try to skirt around the base of the issues by distracting on things like spelling, and when I defend myself to those posts I'm being called repetitive.. Then to see someone like you, who seemingly is fairly intelligent, side with him when his tactic was clearly to try and create an overload of stimulous.. is .. well.. disheartening.. that's why I even botherd to respond to your post.. he really only offered the one example of a blantant mistake I've made, and I tried to admit up to it (more than most here would do)..

I explicitly stated supporting the troops, yet there was a bit of confusion here.. something implied that I wasn't supporting them .. or at least, something prompted the statement that it wasn't directed to 'only' me.. yet, it implies I feel just the opposite of how I do.. I have a brother there.. and I would hope that even those that hate Bush and the war would NOT wish any will ill on him.. he's doing his job and risking his life.. Even if he doesn't like Bush himself, he is living up to the responsibility he accepted, that being part of the force that protects (or more to the point, carries out the orders of the president) this country..
