Ok, I just recently purchased a new Diamond audio 4 channel amp and installed it. Got ground loop/engine noise/skin effect/interference/whatever. Grounded my RCAs, fixed. Today I go out and take a ride up town and after my slow a$$ avic-f loads.....guess what...... now I have white noise and a high pitch ringing (around 10khz). No this is not the dreaded road noise's ghost. When engine rpms are increased the noise stays the same loudness and pitch/freq. I have tried to diagnose the problem with no avail. When the RCAs are unplugged from the amp there is no noise. Put my 2 channel on the components and set it to hpf, bom bom booooommmm it still happens. turn the gain down all the way and it disappears. Does anyone have an idea of what the dilemma could be? It sounds just like an old big screen tv when the volume is turned off ya kno? you still hear that high pitch noise. Should I run new speaker wire from the HU to the amp and use high input? or would that make a difference? I want to hear from you guys before I rip my dash out and pull the carpet up. Thanks in advance.
