ok... so ive started all the recones and picked up some wood for a few customer boxes
on too teh pixorz
they while i love the recones i dont think PAP thought about how hard it would be to solder the leads (cause the basket is funky) once the cone was attached to the spiders/coil assembly
the only way i was able to get the leads soldered was my 1: getting the terminals bolted to the basket and laying a bunch of solder on the very top of the post, 2: laying my expoxy all over the spider landing, 3: setting the whole pre-assembled recone kit into the motor basket assembly while not completely sitting the spders down onto the landing, 4: since the kit wasnt all the way down in the motor i could squeeze my soldering iron down inbetween the surround and the basket and solder the leads to the very top of the terminal posts (thank god i layed solder on them earlier) , 5: after all of this (which i had to do super quick so the epoxy wouldnt dry) i clamp the spiders down to the landing.
after all of that was done i could glue the surround, and then dustcap at a good slow pace //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
but i digress, on too teh pixorz, again
solder on the top of the terminal posts
epoxy on the landing
i know i skiped a bunch here, but i did all that soldering and such by my self, no time for pics
after i got the leads done i glued down the surround and shimed the coil
set the motor ontop of the other basket so my clamps would fit
glued the dustcap and weighted it down
