Well guy's im totally lost i've upgraded to a H.O. alternator, Did the BIG 3 , Good battery. yet when my car is off it's losing voltage somehow i went to go start my car again this morning and it was dead no clicking just dead. but when you jump it does fine except for the slight bit of headlight dimming but that's normal. but please im lost it's at the shop now hopefully they find what's up with it but idk anymore its a 89 lincoln MARK VII please if any tip's or anything let me know:).

Obviously something is remaining on after your shut the vehicle off.

Have you checked the amplifiers or other stereo accessories for power with the ignition off?

Upgrading your alternator and doing the big three won't help anything if something is draining power with the vehicle off.

And the reason for the dimming is because the battery is dead...duh.

Battery can't be dead it's only a couple day's old. and i checked that already man as far as amplifier power goes and light's etc......nothing is on and all:crap:

Well the mechanic is like a local mechanic around here really good friend of our's half of the time is really really cheap......but thanks for the links man:) i will read up for sure.

Something is remaining on, and draining power, or you have a bad battery. If it is new, then something is constantly draining power.

You seem to be a moron...

hey phattony you think i don't know this. and the battery isn't dead dumb A$$ it's just losing charge when it's sit either that or something is just draining it and you can't psycally see it .

Yeah ThX Jdawg i don't think it is because it would actually do this sometime before i even put my system in my car then it stopped but now it's just bad .

I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM! but i know i left nothin on, and my battery is pretty brand new, its a 14v batt, so i never expected it to die like it did, the only thing that was on was the LED light on my bass knob.
Umm, the light is powered by the amp...
