Issues with my 2 way alarm

Okay, my alarm is frustrating me so I hope you guys could help me out. I have a Python 700 2-way alarm. It was working great up until last week. The alarm does not respond whenever I press on the remotes. I would have to manually unplug the harness from the brain, then reconnect it for it to start working again. A couple days later and the alarm stops picking up the signals from my remote AGAIN! Anyone have this same problem and what would be the fix? Batteries for the remotes are all new.
