batteries have nothing to do with a functioning alt. they only get the engine started, and if you have multiple batteries, they just help maintain constant voltage. you can completely take the batteries out once the engine is started, and it will continue to run. upgrading alternators is the overall best way to upgrade electical, adding batteries isn't always the best.

what load does a dead battery have vs a charged one?

well, i've been lucky then! ive only done it a couple times with no problems. but looks like it wont happen again. but i was more referring to the fact that the MAIN need for a battery is to get the alt going.

load. i have no idea. look it up.. seem to be pretty good at that.

i already know......it is one of the major reasons an alt dies prematurely.....

good to know. but why is that? same reason a remote control car will go haywire if the battery is just way too low?? i actually had a dead battery in my car for almost 3 months, i would just jump it EVERY time. nothing went wrong....? got lucky??

also, why do you ask questions you already know the answers to?

--and all in all your saying, dont have a dead battery in your car. but who in the right mind would do that anyway?? (besides me of course)

well batteries is not even close to a strong section for me. so i thank you for the knowledge. dead batteries kill. and so do no batteries.

if the reason to have an isolator is to only kill the back battery when you listen to a system key off for too long....

what happens if you dont use an isolator and pay attention to wtf is going on? lol neither will go dead and you wont get the voltage drop that isolators have

well sure but what do you mean by pay attention? I would have no idea when to turn off my system so that I would still be able to start my engine (it would be great to know for real, not being an *******). And as you said it adds the burden of having to pay attention instead of being able to just run it till it drops and still have a working vehicle...
