I went to lombards stereo yesterday. To see what they can offer me, and I walked out with an appointment next week to install the following in my 2000 jetta.
1 hertz dieci 6.5" coax speakers

1 hertz dieci 6.5" comp speakers

1 mmats p2.5 12" sub

1 memphis srx 4.300 4ch amp

1 mmats 600.2 sub amp

1 alpine 143bt

1 pac lc1 sub knob

2 amp kits 4 guage

1 custom box

All this plus installation fees for $2515

Is it worth it or should I call and cancel?

Search for it and have someone help you install it. Its going to feel much better knowing you installed it.

I cant buy anything online because my parents handle my bank account and they think sound sytems is a complete waste of money so i can only use cash.

Gee I can't wait till all the customers of all you guy's employer's start doing your job for themselves cause they say that your companies are over pricing their goods and services, then you start getting laid off because the company doesn't have the same business. Let's see how quick it takes you guys to start screaming foul.Granted some shops do overprice there goods which in turn just make the rest of the industry look bad but on the other had as consumers we always want everything bigger, better and CHEAPER!!! Well tell me this, just how long do you thing that trend will keep up before it starts crippling all of us. Most of you B*TCH and moan about products not being made in America, about it being made in China or Korea, well guess what...that's what happens when you want it cheap....Give a few a little knowledge and they think they know everything and f*ck it up for EVERYONE....That's my rant for today.....

LOL Shops all deserve to go under. Noone with access to the internet is going to pay shop prices when they can find comparable equipment for less online. Those places make more money on installing remote starters than car audio these days.

oh and all of our customer should go do my job for themselves. We are admittedly overpriced, thats what a company does overprice goods and services to provide convenience of doing the work for them. All of our customers are lazy and willing to pay for it, welcome to America.

We are trying to help. You have yet to respond as to whether you want my help. I can show you how to install it all yourself. I have done numerous installs and shown all of my friends how to do it as we were doing it so that they learn.

Buying a prepaid credit card and buying stuff online would be your best bet. I am telling you that Lombards is a rip off. They overcharge horribly. I could help you put together a better system than what you have listed and have it all installed for under a grand easy

This goes waaaay beyond car audio is what I'm saying and true enough the internet has it's place but ask yourself, what happens when your job or your skills and abilities are brought into question. People need to understand the very basics of how business works and how one thing effects the other and so forth.

Personally my time is worth more than the time it will take to install a system in my car so ive had people do it. My boat system on the other hand I did it my self because everyone was morons regarding boat stuff.

To each their own. Let him blow his own money how he wants. At least now he has the wiring and his next upgrade he can work from there.

I have been into audio for a long time. It started as a curiosity, and then blossomed into a full blown passion. Your interest has already been piqued, so I hope you stay interested in the hobby. I feel the necessity to overly protective of my possessions, especially my vehicles, so I really don't like anybody else touching them. But I have really good friends that own shops and I have bought from shops on several different occasions, just always have done my own installations. And it's very hard for me to walk, so anybody can do it, just need patience, and a passion.
