running a 0 ga wire from battery to back then split 4 4ga wires to each amps. im installing 4 profile ap1000 amps and 4 12'' kicker subs

running a 0ga wire from battery to a power acoustic 4.0 farad cap then 4ga wires from cap to amps.

OR

does anybody have any better ideas?

1/0 gauge isn't really adequate. Four 1000-watt RMS amps will draw about 320 amps at 14V, if they are 90% efficient. To be safe, look at the fuses on the amps, and add them up, and size your wire accordingly. Look at the "Wire Guide" sticky at the top of this forum for reference.

2/0 gauge would be much better. A single run, and a 4-way distro block sounds like it would be perfect.

Two runs of 1/0 is the equivalent of 4/0, which is overkill. But if 1/0 is easier to obtain than 2/0, then go for it!
