is 3.14 cubic ft. to big for 1 type r 12. that is the inside measurements of the box before port displacement. i will be using 2- 4" precision ports. i'm not sure how to deduct for the ports. i want to tune it around 34-36 hz

I see people recommend ing using 2.2-2.4 most of the time.For displacement it Diameter squared *3.14*lenth Divided by 1728 *s the number of ports.

Say an areo port is 4.5in in diameter, 2.25*2.25*3.14*Length and divided by 1728, and times that number by how many ports u have.
