First off, please, please, please do not tell me America is not dominant in the world. We are not going to be discussing this. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I want to know your guy's thoughts on this matter. With gas prices climbing, food prices jumping, energy, travel, etc. prices are raising, with job cuts and all this economy talk (not to mention housing),

Is this the end of the superpower that is America? Or will we be able tp ull out of it? What do we need to do to pull out of this slump?

No, the US will not pull out of its slump because most of this is a global problem. Dependence on oil is not a US problem....the rising price of food is not a US problem....the increasing scarcity of fresh water is not a US problem....the inability to control inflation and spending is not a US problem. These are all worldly problems that I honestly don't believe are solvable (and those we do solve will create other problems). The fact is that we have way over-populated the planet and can't exhibit any self-control.

Like I said to my girlfriend the other day, it's a good reason to not have kids.

Dependence on Oil is a global problem, but that doesn't mean we can't do anything about it and i think inflation is a problem we can solve as well. Spending is a another matter, but I do think we (American Dollar) can lower inflation.

Our gas isn't even caught up with the global market yet. In GB they are paying like $9 a gallon over there....many places are far worse off than we are........we are just whinny little ***** @$$ *****es nowadays IMO.
