is this safe?

ok i think i found the problem, so i just want to know if this is safe?

im gonna attach the red + yellow wires comming from my alpine cd players harness together then run one wire from both of those directly to the positive terminal on my battery?

for the rest of the other wires im just gonna wire them normally to the harness INCLUDING the ground through the harness?

is this safe? i just want to know since im directly taping the battery for red + yellow if i should directly ground it also to the battery?

quick awnsers pleaes as im about to do this in like 5 minutes (im tired of fuxing with this thing i want my **** music!!!)

GOD ****IT ITS STILl NOT WORKIBNG KJ$#^KL@QJ#^KLJERGHJKAEGHJALSJKGKLWAjrYJK#^J#@%K&^J#@%KL&j24357

i went out there, wired everything up except for the red + yellow, i combined them then ran one wire from them to positive terminal on battery, AND THE ****ER STILL DOSENT WORK! it worked 5 minutes ago in my subaru but this freakin buick SUCKS Nuts!!! ARGKJWTKL@JT what am i doign wrong?!?!?!?!

but you dont have to attach it to the batt try another ground point inside the cage or a piece of the frame in the dash.... there are alot of diff things i would try before i cut the cord off of my blender LMAO

blenders gonna be fine... but these christmas lights on the other hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ok even with a seperate ground still no worky, and the wierd thing, with a direct power line the unit dosent flash like it did before when the power wire was going through the harness

so, so far iv found out that the unit does work when the red+yellow directly wired to the battery in the subaru

but when the same thing is done in the buick.... dosent work... does this mean i need a new battery? the one in there is from 2004 so its not that old .... should i just say **** it and let a shop do it? what will they try that i havent? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

if you give in and take it to the shop, you'll never have the satisfation of figuring out the problem on your own. all you get is the anger that comes with wasting all the time and the money thrown away to a shop.

have you checked your fuses lately? Sounds like you blew one and that's why it won't turn on.
read the other thread about "missing fuse cause of problem?"

and i dont know how to fix this.. im a noob, thats why im posting here in the first place , the only thing iv been able to determine is that it powers on when tested on my subaru but not the buick... i have no idea why, also there is no fuse in the radio slot of the buick, so i went shopping and couldent find one, i posted pics in the other thread called "fuse cause of problem?" and they said theres no fuse supposed to go in there

so im stumped, i have no clue what to do, its been like 3-4 days and still not workin... i would rather not pay for an installer because i dont have that much money and it will just take longer to get my amp + front speakers, but i have no choice!

I usually find that Sam Adams helps in situations like these...

It ain't rocket science. Step back and think a bit.

You have a wire harness adapter to the car, right? Unplug it.

Take the black wire from the HU and ground it to the firewall or metal dash. Connect the yellow and red (or orange? I forget) wires to unswitched 12V. If the radio won't power up now then something very basic is wrong. Like the plug is fallin' outta the CD player.

Start with basics, work your way forward.
