Is this reasonable?

I never make these whiny *****y threads but I've just gotta rant... and I've got nowhere to go nor anything to do, so deal with it.

My high school sends out report cards every six weeks and has a grading period of six weeks. As a senior I failed English for the 5th of 6 six weeks with a 67 and gov. with a 69. My school sends a letter home saying I'm failing classes that i need to graduate. My overall average (the one my graduation is based on) is an 81 in english, and 78 in gov, the letter makes no mention of this. I'm taking 5 AP classes besides this I have A's and B's in these classes. My parents freak out and stop me from finishing the build I've spent around 1800 dollars on over the past year, take my car keys away, ground me for the rest of the school year and make me quit my job.

Do you think they're being reasonable? I'm missing Marley fest right now because of this crap, and they're also forcing me to volunteer at a homeless shelter... because I failed for one six weeks... and when they called my english teacher she complained about my behavior and says I'm too familiar with her (I make *** jokes in class).

Sounds like your parents' reaction is entirely appropriate.

If you want to have fun, do things you like, etc., then you'll do your ****ing homework and stop being a whiny little *****.

failing easy classes?
but A's and B's in hard classes:confused:?
After spending the 4 hours or so a night i spend doing my AP homework it's tough to sit back down and spend another hour on homework for regular classes, especially when i get cocky and think that my high test scores will be enough to pass me... plus i usually finish all of my AP homework around 1 in the morning...

the question was is the punishment reasonable? I'm going to graduate just fine, My car is being taken away, I can't finish the build I've been working on for over a month, I can't enjoy the end of my senior year, and I have to volunteer for 4 grade points that don't matter...
