Is this overkill?

My old car caught fire fully in flames and the factory wires were still all there. I understand what he means.
Exactly. The only disadvantage is it's not as flexible as car audio wire that needs to be flexible to run throughout the car, it's not as flexible because of the thicker outside jacket. That kind of has me worried about the chassis to block ground since the engine moves, I'll have to be a little careful there and give it some length. I'm just worried that it will snap the wire in two because of the friction of twisting the wire, which is why the stock wire in that location is braided to be flexible.

 
So this must be a high heat tolerable insulation then. I'm just trying to figure out what sets it aside from the others if you will.
I have no clue what he has. I know we have some serious wire at my work but it's for 440
