Is This Overkill?

I have a 270 amp mechman alt 1 optima 34/78, 2 optima d31t's, 4 runs of Knu KLMX Kable 2+ and 2- front to rear, and Big 3 done in 2/0 welding wire.

Running 2 AQ 2200's strapped at 2ohms on 2 12" hdc3-A's and 1 AQ 4x90 on 2 AQ component sets.

Alt charges at 14.9 at idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and batts are resting at 13.2 with the car off.

Can't tell voltage drop yet as I am just getting everything installed.

I am sure this will suffice for my electrical needs but do you think I may have went a little overboard?

you can never go overboard on electrical. Its always better to have more than you need, than not enough. That being said, time will tell where you need to make upgrades. I think your optimas may prove to be a weak link though.

nice sounding setup!...but the optimas are gonna be ur weakest link as hightq said...shoulda went with an deka, stinger, kinetik or XS POWER!

Figured I couldn't beat the price, performance, and quality. Matching equipment is always nice too. Started from scratch and buying all in one place was easy.

Done plenty of research and have some experience and am sure ill be happy.

And I figured the optima's would be my weak link but I got them for a steal and if need be I will upgrade
