Ok my buddys dad knows a guy that builds alts for cbs BIG CBs lol well he wants to build mine for this system it adjusts to the demand is the best way i can describe what he told me Is this a good thing and will it hurt me batteries i am running a red top and another standard battery for the moment He also is lettin me have 100 of #2 Weld wire is this good stuff ?? like i said i know they use this on very big cb radios lke enough power to run my entire house lol but is it good to use on a audio system ? just making sure they assured me its good but wanted to ask soe audio guys too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No such thing as too much alt power. CB radios are more like audio systems playing test tones than audio systems playing music. Depending on how you want to use your system would determine whether or not it will be enough. Even though music is dynamic and does not have the same continuous load that test tones do, it can be harder to power unless you plan your system well. You will need battery power in addition to alt power to play music. To use a CB or play test tones, you can get away with simply alt power.
