Is this Lanzar Amp legit???

yeah what lost soul said. I can't believe that amp is so powerful and and is so cheap. Most big named brand amps cause 5 times more and are no where near as powerful on 2-Channels.

I highly doubt that amp puts out anywhere near the rated output. See if you can find some bench test results on that amp from someone other than Lanzar.

You have to be careful with these really cheap products. Remember, you get what you pay for. I recently saw a bench test sheet from a Sony "1200w" mono amp that showed it only put out 200w RMS. Just keep that in mind when buying these ultra-cheap amps.

Good luck.

All I can say is it's a good darn thing I didn't listen to just one review before purchasing my sub amp. I advise you to do more research before making your purchase. Wait for more of the vets here to respond. Try eCoustics and other car audio forums before you drop the cash.

aight man, Thnx for the advice. I probably won't be buying anything til a month from now. I'll def re-search around before I make a final decision. But i've heard 5 good reviews on that amp so far.

Good. Doing your homework will make you happy in the end.

This used to be a hobby of mine, but I was out of the loop for many years. When I first started to think of building a new system, I was actually considering Sony. Man, am I glad I did my research!

Get back into the loop man. Lanzar does make good amplifiers. They won't do rated power, but too ****ed close to hear a difference. It's like bashing the JBL 1200.1 because all the benches I've seen are around 1115 watts RMS. What do you expect for between 6 and 10 watts / dollar?

the kid can get wut amp he wants man. Based on the 5 good reviews you've heard man, i'd go for the Lanzer amp then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

When Lanzar was bought out a few years back, people started saying that Lanzar sucks. It's still the same old design (from the original optis) w/a few less bling partsa for the lower end. Ownership changed, not the product. It stayed the same. true they need to "catch up" w/the rest, but worth the $$. They don't how ever do rated power, but it missed by just a bit. rated 1000w, benched @ 950. That's just off the top of my head. I'll go over to the forum that Dr. Fosgate did the test on.
