Stock/Retail:

Volkswagen Head Unit. Single CD-Player. MP3-Readable. AUX Jack Input in Glove Box. (For iPod).

Want to buy:

AMP: Alpine MRP-M850 ($450.00)

SUBWOOFERS: 2 - Alpine SWR-1222D ($220.00 x 2)

($440.00)

Is this good?

Too expensive?

Is this loud?

Clean sound?

Let me know and please give me more ideas. Small budget. Don't want anything else then a decent AMP and 2 SUBWOOFERS. Maybe change the Head Unit? Do I have to?

Yes that will be nice. But if your into sound quality, it really starts out with your head unit. It is your command central with everthing runs from. That amp sub comb though is a good one. If you want to divi up your money though, you could run the Alpine MRP-M650 with 1 type r sub, and dump the rest of that money into a good head unit. It wiill still bump mighty nice with 1 sub. Just a thought.
