I just scoped my system and my current amp gs designs is not giving out now where near enough power for these. Not clean at all so new amp time ?

The other amps especially the audison gave a very very clean signal

If your running 85 Watts at 4 ohms to each one, it's not enough. If your bridging it

for 340 Watts to each one, its too much. This is the wrong amp for your application

IMO. You want about 125-150 watts rms to each speaker. Unless you go active, then

85 watts to each driver with the gains on the tweets lowered a little; a 2000 to 4000 Hz

crossover, then the amp is just right. Looks like you'll need an external crossover though.

The amp's built in x-over does not cover the right frequencies.

thanx for the reply. I am running everything active hence the 3 amps, the gs designs is a 2 channel amp

I completely dissagree.. I see that amp as great headroom. If I had 400x2, I wouldnt have any problem giving it to any decent set of cops, given the gains being set properly.. I probably wouldnt choose that amp though, not so much for the power, but for other reasons..

You can always set your gains propertly and have what you want. If you can pay it, get it is enough for rsd's.
