Is this equipment any good?

Hey guys i'm new to car audio and bought some gear off of Craigslist and would like to know if it is any good and what some of it is or whether to put it in the front or the rear of my 2003 Hynudai Tiburon. It's ok you can laugh at the car if you want I won't get mad.

Amps

Kenwood Excelon Kac-x542 4 Ch

Kenwood Excelon Kac-x812 D 2 Ch

EQ?

Audio Control EQX Series II. I have no idea how to use this or where to put it in the build.

Subs

Two Hertz EQX Series II in a custom box.

Speakers

Hertz High Energy HV-165 200 Watt 92 DB 4 ohm with HT-25 tweeters (mount in back?)

Hertz Space 6 200 Watt 4 ohm with Hertz Space 1 Tweeters (mount in front?)

I have four Cross overs two mounted on the box and two i'm assuming for the front.

I also bought a bunch of Raamat BXT II enough for the doors hatch and floor.

I paid 600 for all of this so hopefully I didn't get ripped off but I did try and do some research on them and didn't think this was a bad price. Any thoughts out there?

I'm in the middle of getting rid of the awful blue carpet. The wiring scares me...

not the greatest ... but not the worst... idk nothing about them subs... amps are best kenwood/jvc has to offer... not bad... idk about that box... lol but if its build good.... if you bought it on CL that wire is probably crappy 0ga... some sq goodies... cheap distros?

Good to know. I wasn't looking for a competition level system or anything just something better then stock stuff. I plan on replacing all the wire once I figure out home i'm going to mount everything in the trunk. The amps are to big to fit under the seats. I might build an amp rack or something.

what brand wire is it ? u might want to replace... and you DEFINITELY want to change out that speaker wire... that short run of looks like 4 or 8 ga from distros. to amp might be worth saving if not total bs wire... does any of it say OFC?

All it says is Suntech premium 8 awg then it goes down to 4 awg. I was going to order and amp kit from sonic electronix and will probably need a sub kit to. Not sure if I will need to upgrade my alt yet either. Is it best to buy the wires in kits or to buy in reels?

If you don't have a place local to you, or even if you do, check with mylows10 on here. He can hook you up with amp wite kits, big3 kits, great dude to deal with, and knowledgeable about alot of this schit.

welding supply sells 1/0 and 4 gauge ofc cheap, you'd just need 1 1/0 to a fused distro then out to the amps and then of course your grounds.

pull all of the wiring off and redo it properly to avoid noise

MY "welders supply" local sells 2/0g for $3.59 per foot. thats when i said "thanks bye".

knu koncepts 1/0 is cheaper shipped. am i missing something here??

i thought welding cable was smaller than car audio. so 2/0 welder = 1/0 audio?

2/0 is about 2.5 a foot for 25 ft. the real discount comes in when you buy bulk
