Is this normal or not? It doesn't look right.. In order to get rid of the peak I have to lower the box size but any smaller and there won't be a box! Is the 7db gain a good thing or not??

Sorry.. If you can't see the box volume it's 1.3 tuned to 36.83hz

Driver specs are:

RE = 1.45 ohms

Fs = 38 Hz

Qes = 0.4686

Qms = 9.290

Qts = 0.4462

Vas = 4.34 L

BL = 16.11 N/A

Cms = 50 um/N

and if you are going to insist on using it, that peak is huge. 7db @37Hz is going to be absolutly massive in the vehicle. flatten that ***** out.

what do you mean it's going to be massive in the vehicle? Like too loud? And the only way to flatten it out is to make the box .2 cuft! Thats ridiculous small.. The speaker won't even fit in that..

thats not the only way to change it man...

go with the manufacturers recomendations, like Jim has said. i think you have alot to learn before you start designing your own enclosures.

there is no manufacture recommendations for this woofer it has been reconed and upgraded. It was originally a Mass Destruction Napalm 10"
