I had bought a refurb amp before and it never died on me, but I guess it all depends on what in it went bad.And the only thing bad about ike is the shipping could take twoo weeks.so if you dont mind waiting cool

doesn't it come with a 1 year warranty? I bought both my amps from IKES and my Orion 8004 came with a paper that stated a 1 year IKES warranty.

My Directed came with a directed warranty.

anyway that is a great deal. IKES sell those quickly and they actually ran out of stock for quite awhile. My only beef with these amps is they run really hot. I mean REALLY hot.

My advice for dealing with IKES. CALL FIRST. Call right before you order and make sure they have what you want in stock. A lot of people just order without calling and then wonder why it takes 2 weeks or more. If they don't have what you want they sit on your order till more come in. I have called in first both times I have ordered and both times my order was sent out same day and arrived 5 days later via UPS ground.
