is there a wireless isp thats available everywhere

im a complete noob...i barely got my house wireless network to work, but i was wondering if there was a isp that had service everywhere. something like i can turn on my laptop anywhere and log on? I know there are wifi hotspots but im looking for service i can get all over town. thanks i know i write incoherently and like shit.

I know in Tempe you can get wireless anywhere. The whole city is blanketed with it via some contracted ISP. San Francisco is looking to do the same thing if they haven't already.

the closest thing is using a cellular connection....then it would work anywhere you get cell coverage...
