Is there a oscilloscope app?

I was just thinking about it today I don't know if it's possible I found a couple on the play store but not sure if they will work to find clipping most of them you just talk into

I believe there are apps that do work, but you still need special hardware, namely a probe and an adapter to connect it to your device for it to function.

Though these apps work.. they don't turn your phone into a proper O-scope they have limitations obviously. Though you can easily plug in a proper Mic to the phone and get much more accurate readings. I wouldn't count on them detecting clipping at 100+ dB's..

Fun to tinker with though.
