Is the subs are biger does that mean there better??

it all depends on music u like 10's hit harder 12's hit hard but are a little deeper and 15's are just deep deep loud as hell i got 2 L7 15's in a pro box thats another thing the best subs can sound like crap in a crappy box i would go with a pro box for any sub If you want something that pounds get two 12' Kicker SoloXs 5000 watts a piece or one 18' solox i think thats what im gonna go with because my amp keeps blowing my 15's

not really a matter of hitting hard or deep.

if you increase the cone - (in general) you get more sensitivity and more displacement so you get more SPL in general but you also need a larger box to maintain a similar frequency response.

beyond that, there is nothing that makes a 10" cone sound different than an 18" cone. But i can tell you many other factors that make two drivers sound different.

Completely incorrect. Also, you clearly know nothing. ***.

Keep on crankin' that gain + bass boost for mad debeez.

For a big SUV, you need more cone area than the Honda Civics.

Keeping the $600 budget, I'd get:

2 Audioque Street Duty 15's ($160 each) Link - run them parallel-parallel @ 1 ohm

Powerbass asa-1500.1d ($220) Link - It'll perform similar to a Memphis, with proper gain setting by your local audio shop.

1/0 gauge wiring kit ($30) SoundQuest Kit from Amazon - It'll perform similar to Stinger wiring, and will be more than sufficient, if properly set up.

$570 and a strong system. Be sure to get a local shop to check your work (gains, grounding, etc.).

Well, not to disrespect your answer.But... the guy cannot tell you what 75 watts times two at a 4 ohm load means, and you are expecting him to do a full install.Does he absolutely need 2 15's? Maybe 1 for now?Maybe a better one? He will also need a box built.Maybe he can do it? Maybe not? Oh....and the 1/0 kit is 46.00.Not meaning to flame, just making a point.

Touche on the comments. Long day... forgot that a box is needed....

On further reflection, though... I might defer to Best Buy or local audio shop to toss in some Funky Pups, and let him beat down the block with a warranty.

Not a high enough post count to get away with a Pup reference = INSTA-BAN!!

In all seriousness though, they would melt the paint off his Escalade, crumple his rims, and leave it a smoldering pile of parking lot ash.
