Is the PDX 2.150 sufficient enough to power this sub...

I bought a JL 10W3v3 sealed powerwedge and originally thought 300 rms would be good enough to power this bad boy. After all, it that is what JL recommends on its website. The dealer I ordered this sub from said 300 rms should be fine and I shouldn't encounter any problems with. But then when I asked another dealer about this, he scoffed and said 300rms would underpower the sub and requires high gains to get any decent output which causes distortion and would eventually blow out the speaker. It does make sense on paper, but I would like to know what you guys think before I take his advice and get the PDX1.600. Mind you, this is only ONE sub. Not two!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Ehh... It's always a good thing to have headroom. A sub will almost always handle more than it's rated power and it will take a full 300RMS to get the w3 to it's full tilt. However, the PDX2.150 will definitely put out ~350+ when bridged. My 2.150 birthed at 169 on each channel, so 350 bridged is almost definite.

Pretty much, if you can spare the extra $$$ for a 1.600, get it. Otherwise, the 2.150 will do the job just fine.
