Is the Morel Ultimo SC I just bought Real or Fake?

Hello,

So I just bought Morel Ultimo SC Subwoofer as a replacement for my very aged Pioneer. After a lot of happiness after purchase I'm now very concerned : (....

I open the box up and found the manual and another pamphlet which helps distinguish between genuine and counterfeit Morel Products. After reading through the pamphlet I'm worried about my subwoofer being real or fake. I shall attach pictures of the directions, two other items I got which are supposed to help me verify I think and the base of my Subwoofer:

Have you contacted the store or seller you purchased this from? Why would a counterfeit item have the test for checking if that item is counterfeit in the box?

It's about 9PM now where I live so the place is closed.

I was hoping to get some feedback on this, make sure on If its genuine or not, before I go to the store tomorrow calling him a son of a ***** liar thief.

This was my first thought. However, the directions state there should be a sticker at the base of the sub where it plainly isn't.

So very confused.....

Was the box opened before? You found the sticker inside but not on the actual sub? The product looks like the real deal as far as i can tell but would need more pics of side and front to verify. It may have be opened before and resold.

It was a completely sealed product and I found the logo sticker along with the 'verifying stick' alongside the Owners Manual plastic wrapping.

I've clicked a couple of more pictures and uploaded them in an album here blazian, If you require pictures at different angles or other parts of the subwoofer in focus let me know and I'll do it for you.

Everything looks pretty d@mn legit to me. There's no indication to me that it's fake. How do you know it was manufacture sealed? Someone could've opened it and resealed it no? I would think there would be a special shiny tape on the actual seal of the box. The verifying sticker looks real too. It's just not on the actual product, which gives me reason that it's been opened before. I would go ask the shop tomorrow to make sure you got what you paid for. Otherwise, test it out. See how it sounds~!

upload the pics of the whole subwoofer. Hows the build quality feel?

That sticker thing might just be for the morel ultimo( expensive and older version) not the ultimo SC. Pretty sure there is no sticker at the bottom of the SC line. Look on the side not the bottom, is there any sticker/morel logo on the side of the magnet?

Build Quality looks solid.

Alright two people now think it's genuine, Thank god. I was worried It was too good a deal to find a brand new one at 350$. His claim was distributor was stopping his Morel distribution deal and selling everything at clearance.

I shall put it in tomorrow or the day after, have a listen. I've never heard a SQ/SQL subwoofer though so I'm not sure how I would tell if it's sounding how an Ultimo SC should sound or not though ....

As it was taking so long for the enclosure to be made. I hadn't seen my sub out in days so today I decided to take it out just to have another look at the precioussssss : P.... and I found the elusive sticker to the side!, It's not the big Morel logo that's on the side(bottom for Ultimo) but exactly as it says in the instructions a half-cut oval hologram. Instead of the base it's on the side:

I must admit I still had underlying concerns despite both your opinions on the ingenuity of the Subwoofer. I can finally rest easy : )))

Yes! I thought when you meant side, It was the bottom side where the big logo was : P...The Ultimo has the big morel logo on the bottom and SC on the bottoms side.

Hi Blazian...

I've not set everything up yet with the Sub. Having some trouble with Gain settings currently which Jeff is helping me out with.

I'll update you if you'd like after setting gains up correctly and I think it takes a month to break this particular model in so in a few weeks time Blazian.

I can tell you right away the kind of bass it puts out though.

The sound...is very unique. I've never heard a subwoofer like this. Don't think I've heard as many subs as the veterans out here but from what I have nothing is as .....crisp, clear and to the point bass if you will, like this Ultimo SC is.
