no those audiobahns are actually decent subs....my friend had that same amp pushin 2 of the older type S and it wanged off the hook in a ***** am.....got loud as ****....great amp, he never ever had any problems wt it

I have mine hooked up to a 12" Type R and had it going about 75% of maximum volume for about 90 minutes straight and it held up great. It was pretty **** hot but it never went into protect or shut down. It's not the best amp but it gets the job done. Unfortunately, most people who buy Audiobahn products don't know how to properly set them up.
