I found out today that my 92 Deville has a 140 amp alt stock.

I plan to run a xtant 100.1 rated at 1000w at 2 ohms and a xtant A400.4T rated at 100x4 at 2 ohms.

I was planning to get a 200 amp alt but saw that my stock atl is already at 140 amp.

Will this be enough for what I am running if I just get a nice drycell battery like a optima or should I upgrade.

I found a site to order and alternater for around $250, but shit money don't grow on trees here in Atlanta so if I can cut costs I would like so I can spend the money on something esle.

Whats the fuse ratings on your amps? Usually that can tell ya somthing. You can probally get away with 1000watts without dimming. But with that other amp...? If you do get dimming try wiring your 4channel down to 4ohms...

Thats right, how could I forget my Xtant. But you should be fine, I think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I know my friend is running a Xtant A6001 (about 700watts) on a 95amp alt and gets some dimming and then w/ dimming with a 135alt amp with 1000watts. So its trial and error.
