Is RE Audio Subs really that good?

for a while now ive been on website from website looking for a sub to be powerd to my zx1500.1 kicker amp, and everyone always ravs about the RE MT seriers subs. so if anyone has personal experiences with these subs can anyone tell me why there so great? and what is the rms wattage on these things anyway??

i like the sx personally. i have an mx, which i also liked when it was in the truck. never heard the MT, but i would assume they are good subs, just like all their other subs.

They're not bad subs at all, there are just tons of competition at very competitive pricing.

And that 1500.1 isnt enough power, really, for an MT. Need another 7-800 probably to get it going right, from what I've gotten out of the woofers

At 1500RMS I'd probably look into a multiple sub setup or a single 18" RE SX or similar.

Edit - **** you guys.

The MT gets reallllllllly loud. Well mine does atleast. I have an IA 40.1 running to it ~3600watts @ 1 Ohm and its never gotten smelly! Beasty subs!

alright alright, well i guess the MT's are outa the question lol, but i guess the SX seriers will be fine. i would love to go with the 18 but not sure if my trunk will allow that ( 96 cadillac eldorado ETC) what is the wattage on the 18? and would a 15 and my amp work together or to much power?

ok so imma go with the RE SX 15, with my zx1500.1 amp, now when i go to buy this sub, is there like a model i should go with or is it just re sx, like..... idk i just wanna find a place to buy one of these ( perf new) hrmmm then anyone got suggestions on box size/tune freq?

It's just a 15'' re sx

And tuning is all up to what you like to listen to.

I would do 4-4.5 cubes tuned to low 30s

is your kicker amp 1 ohm stable. all the SX subs are dual 2ohm soo youll eather have to run it at 1 or 4ohm. also the SE series can handle 1000watts no problem and come in dual 2 or dual 4. right now im running a 15 SE off a usamps md3d and am very happy. but due to the fact a 2l bottle pepsi got punched through the cone i may upgrade to a 15SX that am friend of mine is selling

I love my MT, but it gets quite hot at full power off my sundown 3000. I think I may not have a true RE MT OEM coil, since I know it was reconed before I purchased it and the impedance on the coil is 2.4, which I've never seen another MT coil be 2.4.
