I would stay away from anything sold at Walmart look at the hds215 sub (105) or even the hds315 (170) by sound qubed both much better stronger subs or even the sundown e-15 (185) but I prefer sound qubed..... Also if you don't mind me asking what kind of box are you gonna use ?

3cubes will be a little small for a 15 I would go for cubes or bigger or if you're limited to that space go for a 12

Yeah I guess this hds215 is not a bad buy, isn't 600 watts , 600watts regardless of 2 or 4 ohms? So it should be the same regardless it just affects efficiency , right?
