Is one woofer enough?

I just want a decent sounding system with decent sq and enough spl to rumble my seat. But since I drive a large Lexus four door, do you guys think one 12'' sub is good enough to get loud? If yeah, what subs do you guys recommend?

sure.

a 12" resonant engineering SE will make you happy with about 800w@2ohms in about 1.8 cubes tuned to 33 hertz or so.

Hm..no more than 150 on the sub and up to 250'ish on the amplifier. Hm, i'd like something powerful so just in case i want to put in another woofer.

i have 1 12" entry level alpine sub ported to 26hz in 1.5 cubes in my big ol caddy, it shakes my seats and knocked my center mirror off

take out the rear dash speakers, thats what i did, it lets the sub breath into the cabin

what amp do you have? Also if you wanna get pretty dam loud, I doubt most single 12 setups are going to please you in that car, without some customizing.

That gas tank may casue A little problem. I am no expert but maybe someone else can help you. Nice car by the way. I love the lexus.
