Is one 15" mtx 9500 enough for the trunk of a 2009 jetta?

Hey all. Is 1 mtx 9500 15" in a sledgehammer ported enclosure running on 900 watts enough to give me some good bass when placed in a 2009 jetta? How much would I be giving up with this setup as opposed to 2 10" subs? Obviously thats a general question as I didn't give the model of the 2 tens but I was hoping to hear some opinions nonetheless. thanks

I am really trying to make my decision between the 15" ported 9500 or two tens of which I have not settled on. Possibly two ten inch polk sr's. Maybe 2 ten inch dls iridiums. I am still trying to figure it out. Any opinions?

i'd go with the mtx 15. those 9500s are pretty good subs. it'll be loud in a jetta.

I am leaning in that direction as well. Thanks for your input here. Before I make my purchase, I still want to hear a few more opinions of whether the 15" mtx 9500 ported would be a better choice for my jetta trunk then 2 tens sealed such as polk sr or dls iridium 10's.

I would bet that 15 ported in a proper box will kill 2 10's sealed.

The box will be the mtx sledgehammer ported box so it will deff be proper for the sub. I think I am going in this direction so if anyone has any objections, please speak up soon lol

take the 15" and port it lower in a bigger box and throw 1500w to it

personally I'd do 2 12's instead of 1 15 (and I love 15s).

I am also leaning towards the single mtx 15 ported as its recommended amplification is 800-1000 w rms. I am keeping the electrical totally stock. If I go with 2 good 12's they will want at least 700 watts a piece(at the min) and that is the min for any of the good 12's on the marked. I am not sure I have the electrical capacity. for instance, i doubt I could run a thunder elite 1501d together with my 4 channel on stock electrical.
