Is my YellowTop damaged?

I slow charged my YT last night and fully charged it sat at 13.3v. I checked it this morning and now it sits at 12.8v. Is my YT damaged or is it normal for them to lose power overnight?

my red top drops a little bit but not that much... how long was it on the charger? and what was it set at?

It was set at 2amps, it was on for maybe 11-12 hours.

you need to do a load test, if it was reading 13.2, that was just surface charge

even 12.8 is high for a resting voltage

apply a small load to it, and then read it

turn on your lights for 1 or 2 minutes, and then check the voltage

yep , surface charge... mine usualy sits at 12.9-13.0 after it has sit for a while. get a load tester.

See if it goes down more tomorrow night....If it keeps gonig down, It is messed up....But if it stays there your fine, Sounds Fine to me...12.8 Is still prety **** good, Is it used??

Yeah I've been using it in my car for about 4-5 months. im pretty sure that's normal. both my YTs couldnt hold 13+ charge. im talking only singles but groups of YT is a different story.

chill out dude...losing 1/2 volt over night is nothing to worry about. Just leave your battery alone, its fine.

seriously, i think resting cell voltage is only 12.2-12.4

do a load test, or better yet, take it to autozone, and they will load test it for you, and then you can stop worrying about it
