Is my head unit bad?

In my car i have two speakers on the deck and two subwoofers in the trunk with an amp. My speakers worked fine for a while with the subwoofers but then all of a sudden the speakers stopped working and sound was coming only from one of the two subwoofers. There was still some sound from the other subwoofer but there was not nearly as loud or as powerful as the other one. I checked all of the wires and the are in good shape and hooked up correcty. I noticed the speakers make a whining sound sometimes when i move the wires behind the head unit around but thats all i can get. I was wondering if something was bad. i was guessing the head unit but im not sure. Thanks for any help.

Might want to pull the deck and see whats going on behind there. If you wiggle wires and different noises come about, something's obviously wrong in that general area. Loose wires, wires touching things they shouldn't be touching, bad grounds etc..
