again if you read how it starts what does it say, best player of his era and with jordan it doesn't say at or near the top it says the best player of all time. Even magic knows it

again totally opinion based. there is no way to beyond a shadow of a doubt prove it.... soe people believe and some dont simple as that

just like other sports. do you really think jim brown and walter payton would run over as many guys now as they did back then? with all linebackers being just as strong if not stronger today its hard to argue best ever.

its easier to argue best right now cause you can go by stats and know both players are playing on the same playing field.

i apologized for bad mouthing him for that. i do think its a little different to do it constantly and to mess up and have a girlfriend. theres a little difference. not that it was good just a little different. i mean jordan only married his wife anyway cause he knocked her up but thats another story. well get off personal lives didnt make them any better or less of a player.
you gotta understand he was my idol growing up and i still got framed pictures of him up in my computer room ha ha i owned all his shoes (and still have them) autographed basketballs and cards, and all his jerseys including high school jerseys i was a little obsessed growing up so i gotta defend him lol

And he was definitely one of the greatest ever. I never said he wasnt. I loved him growing up too, but its impossible to say that without a doubt he is the best ever. It is just an opinion and people are going to disagree with that.

Exactly. And how much more does the media coverage of this last decade or two made us more aware of the players today? There isnt the footage of yesteryears players like there is today.

Haha that was a great quote i wonder when it was quoted huh, probably way before jordan got to the league. Taking nothing away from Dr. J he was the first to change the game of basketball, but Jordan takes the cake. And i said show me where Jordan praises another player about being the best?
