Is it worth it?

Hey guys. Need some help or advice, Guy has a brand new pair of sundowns for sale. E10v3's. Are they worth it? What should I do and a reasonable offer?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I've got one kicker 600w rms amp in my truck now, but I do have another laying around in my office I could add to the system.

The S.Downs are approx $130 bucks ea.maybe a little less with searching..If you get one/or even a pair 10-30% less with existing boxes and specs it would be worth it, as long as you check them with a DMM to make sure they are not trashed..Other than that..Id look at a Sound Qubed HDS 210 for the money, and should run just fine off that Kicker 600.1 in a decent built and tuned enclosure.

HDS210 Dual 2

Ive had a pair(DVC 2 ohm) and given them to a family member in seperate enclosures of 1.6 cu ft at approx 35 htz, and after 2 years they still sound fantastic in a trunk of a Caddy CTS with an old school Autotek BTS 7150 Bass Thrust @ 2ohms mono. Two seperate enclosures still provides room/space in between the enclosures for storage rather than a single enclosure that takes most of the trunk space up.

I had planned on checking them. The guy won't tell me a price. Just keeps saying to make an offer. Wasn't sure with them being an entry level line, if I would be better off looking toward something different. I've read a lot of good stuff on Sundown, but seems most is geared towards the SA's or better. I don't mind waiting for something better if that's what I should do. Don't want to do any bass comps or anything crazy. Just some nice quality and solid thump.

Id buy new and get the warranty if the guy is fishing fir numbers..Seems like a waste of time.Ive had SA12s and could never get them to do what I wanted or expected with building more than 7 enclosures.I ended up with the HDS210s and placed them in the exact chambers, and seemed to sound so much cleaner to me and within the vehicle.I later wanted more as we all generally want, and being used to running 4 subs, I went back to that with American Bass XFLs, and also ran and still have 4 HDS310s and both perform very nicely.Even the older American Bass TNT sub was excellent for the money type R was a decent sub too,I think the Dayton HO series sounded alot cleaner than the Rs.Polk is really a great sounding woofer in a sealed environment, but the HDS210 is better priced unless you find the Polks on sale at times from B.Buy.The only other sub that I can say sounded amazing that Ive experienced is the ARC 1000 rms 12 that just sounded absolutely fantastic in a sealed enclosure. But, for the money and the power that you are introducing.. that HDS210 would be a perfect match in my opinion for the money.Id do a 1.4-1.6Cu Ft enclosure tuned from 34-36 htz, i think it would do great for you.An entry level sub for me consist of 150 rms-500.Everyone has different opinions

Most Deff cant go wrong with the A.Bass XFLs in my opinion..Even the HDS300 series from S.Qubed have served quite well for me.Ive been very happy with both thus far.You can always introduce more power at a later time when funds are available for you on these two subs.
